Publix bringing additional COVID-19 vaccines to select Georgia pharmacies

1/26/2021

Publix has announced that Georgia has selected 139 of its pharmacies to receive doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Although the number of pharmacies receiving the vaccination is growing, not all of its previously announced locations will be obtaining additional vaccines at this time, the Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer said.

“We’re grateful to continue working with the state of Georgia to administer COVID-19 vaccinations to our Georgia communities,” said Publix CEO Todd Jones. “As more doses become available, it’s our hope we can help more people in our communities receive this important vaccination.”

Currently, vaccinations are being given to first responders, health care workers, individuals who are age 65 years old and older, their caregivers and both residents and staff of long-term care facilities.

Appointments can be made online or by calling Publix or the pharmacy.
