Publix offering COVID-19 vaccines at 97 Georgia pharmacies
Publix is continuing to diligently work alongside the state of Georgia to ensure COVID-19 vaccines are available for those who need them.
The retailer announced that doses of the Moderna vaccine will be available at 97 of its pharmacies throughout the state to eligible individuals.
Provided by appointment only, doses will only be available while supplies last, and many pharmacy locations included in previous distributions will not be included this time around, the Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer announced.
“We are grateful to once again have the opportunity to work with the state of Georgia in its efforts to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Publix CEO Todd Jones. “With each shipment we receive from the state, we are able to help our communities take a step closer to normal.”
Adhering with state guidelines, vaccines are being provided to first responders, health care workers, individuals age 65 years older and older, their caregivers, and both residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
