Publix to once again offer Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine
Following the decision made by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as the Food and Drug Administration, Publix will once again offer its consumers the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
Currently, the CDC suggests that women younger than age 50 years old should be made aware of the rare but increased risk of blood clots, and the availability of other COVID-19 vaccine options that have not seen this risk, the company said.
As of now, Publix is offering the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines via appointments that can be made using its online reservation system.
Individuals who schedule their appointments online will be able to select their preferred vaccine before being shown what counties have appointments available.
