This year, Halloween celebrations might look a little bit different.
Although social distancing rules may still be in effect, that doesn’t mean the creativity stops, at least according to Hershey’s Reese’s brand.
As a way to help with the ongoing struggle of how exactly children are going to be trick-or-treating, the Hershey, Pa.-based company has unveiled a brand-new solution — Reese’s Trick-or-Treat door.
This door provides a robotic, social distancing option that allows trick-or-treaters to get their hands-on king size Reese’s peanut butter cups, the company said.
“This Halloween is unlike any other, so we've upped the ante on creativity as a result,” Allen Dark, Reese’s senior brand manager said. “A robotic Reese’s dispensing door is just what the world needs right now!”
Designed to travel through neighborhoods via remote control and bring candy to anyone’s doorstep, those who want to get their hands on some sweets simply need to say “trick or treat,” the company said.
