Report: Baxter seeks to acquire Omnicell for $5B-plus

Medical supplier provider Baxter International has reportedly approached Omnicell, a Mountainview, Calif.-based medication management software vendor with a takeover offer totaling more than $5 billion, according to a Reuters report.

Baxter's takeover offer is in excess of $120/share, according to one of the sources in the report.

The source noted that there is no certainty that Omnicell will engage in negotiations or that any deal will be reached.
