Kroger is expanding its relationship with population health platform higi. The retailer is rolling out higi health stations to its Roundy’s Supermarkets division stores, enabling access to free health screenings and educational content about chronic conditions to its shoppers in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Kroger and higi have been partners wince 2011, growing to the point where 2,149 Kroger stores across its banners have higi health stations. The higi health stations in Kroger stores conducted 10 million tests in 2018, with a total of 46 million conducted since 2011, higi said.

In addition to screenings and educational information about preventing and managing chronic illnesses, higi said its health stations offer an access point for consumers to engage with a healthcare professional through the kiosk.
