Publix opens second GreenWise Market
There’s a new GreenWise Market open to consumers.
Publix, the parent company behind the retail concept, announced that its second location has officially opened its doors to consumers.
Located in Mount Pleasant, S.C., at the Indigo Square shopping center, which is located on the northwest corner of U.S. Highway 17 and Indigo Market Drive, the market is a specialty, natural and organic store.
“We’re excited to bring the simple, yet sophisticated, environment and high-quality, unique products of GreenWise Market to the Mount Pleasant community,” Publix president, Kevin Murphy said. “GreenWise Market is more than a store. It’s a gathering place where our customers can discover local items, indulge in a decadent treat or find the items they need to support their healthy lifestyle.”
Featuring grab-and-go options, consumers can also find organic produce, indulgent gourmet treats, local and unique products, bulk items, body care and a variety of such in-house made products as smoked meats and sausages.
In addition, those who venture into the location are able to find a three-panel mural by local artist Amelia Rose Smith, featuring painted scenes from nearby Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms. Shoppers also can purchase a glass of wine, locally brewed beer, locally roasted coffee, tea or smoothie to enjoy while shopping or in one of its seating areas, the company said.
