Walgreens Boots Alliance is making several leadership changes.
The Deerfield, Ill.-based company announced that Gunjan Bhow has been appointed the chief digital officer. He has over 25 years of experience in leading customer-centric digital transformation and developing category-defining products that have been generated billions of dollars in revenue.
Gunjan previously held the senior vice president and general manager at the Walt Disney Company, where he led initiatives across direct-to-consumer, subscription, commerce, data and loyalty. He also previously held roles at Amazon, Microsoft and Plantronics.
Heather Dixon will take over the global controller and chief accounting officer position. She will oversee WBA’s controllership organization, with a focus on financial accounting.
Dixon joins the company from Aetna, where she was vice president, controller and chief accounting officer from 2017. Prior to that, she was a vice president at American Express and has also held roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Vineet Mehra has been named global chief marketing officer. He will lead all and direct all marketing activities across the global enterprise and was listed by Forbes in 2018 as one of their top CMOs.
Mehra was also named one of the Top 20 Tech Savvy CMOs by Ad Age in 2019. Prior to WBA, he was the global CMO at Ancestry.com, global president for Johnson & Johnson’s baby division, and has held positions at Avon, Novartis Consumer Health and Procter & Gamble.
Annie Murphy will take over the global chief commercial officer role, and lead the company’s portfolio of highly regarded brand products. She was previously the senior vice president and chief customer officer for WBA and has held leadership roles for Birds Eye Foods, P&G, PepsiCo and Tesco.
Lastly, Collin Nelson has been named chief global supply chain officer. In this position, he will lead WBA’s global supply chain and build on the current network to enhance customer satisfaction.
He previously has held roles at Bunge, GlaxoSmithKline, Firmenich and Unilever.
