Weis Markets opens new beer-wine café in Pennsylvania
Weis Markets has announced the opening of a beer-wine café in its Berwick, Pa., store, marking the grocer’s second beer-wine café in Columbia County.
The café is part of the overall remodel of this store. It now sells more than 400 varieties of imported and domestic wines, including ones from Pennsylvania vineyards. The café also offers 550 varieties of domestic, imported and craft beer, including a local beer section.
The food retailer now operates 61 beer-wine cafes in its Pennsylvania locations.
Founded in 1912, Weis Markets operates 206 stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and West Virginia.
