McMURRAY, Pa. — Giant Eagle’s introduction of its new Market District Express brought the best of Giant Eagle’s gourmet Market District food stores into the smaller footprint of its GetGo convenience stores, combining fresh, chef-created meals with traditional and specialty groceries. The 15,500-sq.-ft. Market District Express includes an in-store pharmacy with drive-through access and such promotions as seasonal free antibiotics and free prenatal vitamins. According to reports, Giant Eagle has plans in place to open one Market District Express format in Cleveland and one in the Columbus, Ohio, area.
