On Friday, Dec. 13, Rite Aid celebrated the grand re-opening of its Waldwick, N.J., store, which now features the company’s Genuine Well-Being format. The latest iteration of Rite Aid’s wellness store format, which first debuted in 2011, helps Rite Aid deliver on its commitment to providing services, products and resources to help customers and their families live healthy lives.

The store features expanded clinical pharmacy services; hundreds of new health and wellness products including organic and/or gluten-free foods; an expanded caregiver section; all-natural personal care and home care products and fitness and workout equipment; and Wellness Ambassadors, who work closely with Rite Aid pharmacists to provide customers with access to information over-the-counter medications, vitamins and supplements as well as Rite Aid programs and services.

Additionally, the Waldwick store also includes a new merchandising initiative that Rite Aid is testing that focuses on creating a more engaging shopping environment in a number of key health categories. Throughout the OTC department, Rite Aid and its merchants have combined educational materials, interactive product displays, cross merchandising and creative fixturing to create an informative and easier shopping experience. It also is one of the first Rite Aid stores to feature an upscale beauty department that offers premium cosmetic lines like Senna Cosmetics, Girlacktik, POP Beauty and Eddie Funkhouser, and a Beauty Adviser who is specially-trained to assist shoppers with all beauty brands Rite Aid carries. Rite Aid Beauty Advisers are able to demonstrate products to customers, educate them on topics like color-matching and help them find the right products to achieve the latest beauty trend.
