Rite Aid enters fifth Health Alliance partnership

7/8/2014

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Rite Aid and Heritage Provider Network last month announced a new agreement to bring the Rite Aid Health Alliance program to HPN's chronic and polychronic patients in Southern California.

The Rite Aid Health Alliance relies on pharmacists, physicians and in-store health coaches to help patients meet certain health-related goals central to improving outcomes.

"Known as a pioneer in population health management, HPN has long believed in and offered a wide array of innovative and preventive healthcare services," stated Ken Martindale, Rite Aid president and COO.

The Rite Aid Health Alliance partnership with HPN is the largest to date since Rite Aid announced the program earlier this year. Thirty Rite Aid pharmacies and eight HPN affiliates, as well as its ACO, will participate in the program.

Rite Aid Health Alliance also has partnerships in Greensboro, N.C.; Glendale, Calif.; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Hershey, Pa.
