Southeastern Grocers, parent company and home of Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, donated $320,000 to eight children’s hospitals across the Southeast to aid local pediatric patients.
The donation will support each facility’s specialty programs—including family centered support, therapeutic activities, research, child advocacy, pediatric cancer and additional programs—that contribute to the recovery of young patients.
Raymond Rhee, chief people officer for Southeastern Grocers, said, “These eight exceptional children's hospitals hold a special place within our communities, similar to the vital role mothers play within their families. We are profoundly grateful for the steadfast support of our customers and communities, whose unwavering commitment has enabled this significant donation that will empower our dedicated pediatric hospital partners to maintain essential programs."
