StarKist debuts Premium White Chicken pouches

StarKist has something new up its sleeve.

The brand is rolling out its new Premium White Chicken offering, which is a fully-cooked and no-draining required chicken option that comes in a single-serve pouch.

Available in two varieties — Premium White Chicken and Premium White Chicken 25% Less Sodium — the products are sourced and packaged in the United States, the Pittsburgh-based company said.

“With our new StarKist Premium White Chicken pouches you just tear, add and go,” Andy Mecs, vice president of marketing and Innovation at StarKist said. “This is the first no-drain chicken product of its kind and now consumers can enjoy chicken how and where they want. Whether they’re eating it straight out of the pouch or adding it to their favorite chicken recipes to save time, we’re excited to see how consumers use this product in their everyday lives.”

Made with white meat chicken that has been raised cage-free and hormone-free, the products also do not contain added hormones, the company said.

Each single-serve pouch, which contains 15 g of protein and 80 calories, retails for $1.99 and can be found wherever StarKist products are currently sold.
