Sun-Maid puts twist on classic Halloween candies
With spooky season raging on full steam ahead, Sun-Maid wants to put a healthier twist on delectable Halloween candies.
To do just that, the Fresno, Calif.-based company is launching new flavors in its products.
The twist? Chocolate- and yogurt-covered versions of its raisins, which come in chocolate, peanut butter yogurt and PB&J mashups.
Joining the yogurt-covered raisins' roster is the peanut butter yogurt option, available in two flavors — chocolate and peanut butter, inspired by the classic peanut butter cup — and PB&J, which features strawberry.
When it comes to something tart, the brand’s sour raisin snacks do the trick. These treats are made with golden raisins, which adds a little sour pucker to the natural fruit flavoring, the company said.
Yet, that’s not all Sun-Maid has up its sleeve for Halloween. The brand also is releasing limited-edition glow-in-the-dark packaging for its sour raisin snacks and yogurt-covered raisin variety packs.
Featuring bats that glow after being held up to UV or smart phone lighting, the treats are available via Walmart.com and Amazon.com.
