Taco Bell’s Reaper Ranch gets the chip treatment

Those who couldn’t get enough of Taco Bell’s Reaper Ranch Fries can now get the same level of heat in a brand-new form.

The brand announced the launch of its new Reaper Ranch Tortilla Chips, which contain an extra-strong dose of heat and spice from the Carolina reaper pepper, as well as a cool blast of ranch with every bite, the company said.

"We've seen our fans incorporate chips into entrees, sprinkled on salads and, of course, enjoyed as the best grab-and-go snack," Taco Bell's senior director of retail engagement and experience, Jennifer Arnoldt said. "No one expected us to come out with a flavor hotter than Diablo, and we're excited to show our fans that we're constantly innovating when it comes to giving them access to the Taco Bell flavors they know and love in unique and unexpected new ways."

Available in a limited-edition quantity, the Taco Bell Reaper Ranch Tortilla Chips will be sold in 3.5-oz. and 9.25-oz. bags at such locations as CVS Pharmacy, 7-Eleven, Walmart and Circle K.

Final pricing is set by grocery and retail outlets, the company said.
