TBI Pro formulates dog joint supplements as dental chews

TBI Pro wants to help pups get their daily dose of hip and joint arthritis supplements.

As a way to shake up the category, the Schaumburg, Ill.-based company is rolling out its new dog dental chews, which contain glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM among other ingredients.

Made to help strengthen ligaments, as well as stimulate bone tissue growth and reduce inflammation to help keep dogs active and comfortable as they age, the supplements are available in duck and chicken flavors.

“Glucosamine and chondroitin are important building blocks for manufacturing collagen and proteoglycans in joint cartilage as well as the synovial membrane which produces the fluid that lubricates the joints,” said a spokesperson from TBI Pro. “When combined in a supplement for dog’s joints, they have a synergistic effect, meaning that they have more effect when given together than when given separately.”

Manufactured with naturally sourced ingredients, the supplements are veterinarian-formulated, do not contain additives, preservatives, or artificial chemicals, the company said.

Each pack contains 120 soft chews and currently retails for $27.95 at Amazon.com.
