Vgyaan gets FDA OK for generic Actigall, launches two generics
Vgyaan has received the Food and Drug Administration’s approval for ursodiol capsules in a dosage strength of 300 mg. The product is the generic of Actigall.
Ursodiol is indicated for patients with radiolucent noncalcified gallbladder stones, and for the prevention of gallstone formation in obese patients experiencing rapid weight loss.
The company also recently launched two generics. The first is Nadolol tablets, the generic equivalent of Corgard.
The product is available in dosage strengths of 20 mg, 40 mg, and 80 mg in 100 count bottles.
Nadolol is indicated for the long-term management of patients with angina pectoris, and hypertension, to lower blood pressure.
Vgyaan also recently launched clomipramine hydrochloride capsules in dosage strengths of 25 mg, 50 mg, and 75 mg, in 90-count bottles.
The product is the generic version of Anafranil.
Clomipramine hydrochloride is an antiobsessional drug that belongs to the class (dibenzazepine) of pharmacologic agents known as tricyclic antidepressants. It is indicated for the treatment of obsessions and compulsions in patients with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
