VMS trade orgs open registration for regulatory summit

12/3/2018
Registration is now open for the Dietary Supplements Regulatory Summit, or DSRS — an event that brings together five key dietary supplement trade associations.

The event, to be held May 14, 2019 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., is a collaboration between the American Herbal Products Association, the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, the Council for Responsible Nutrition, the Natural Products Association and the United Natural Products Association.

The one-day summit will focus on regulatory updates and insights from industry experts and Food and Drug Administration officials, including Steven Taye, director of the agency’s Office of Dietary Supplement programs, with an emphasis on compliance. The DSRS will be followed by a reception.

The summit will take place as the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act marks 25 years — during which time the supplement industry has grown to the point that more than 170 million Americans take dietary supplements annually.
