Walgreens removes online only purchase limits for OTC pediatric fever-reducing products

Levy

Walgreens has removed its online-only purchase of over the counter pediatric fever reducing products.

In late December, CVS and Rite Aid instituted product limits as cases of COVID-19, flu and RSV ticked up, amid a scarcity of OTC children’s pain relief products at certain retail locations, including Walgreens.

Citing improved in-stock conditions of these OTC products, Walgreens issued the following statement: "Walgreens has worked diligently with our suppliers to ensure we have enough supply to meet customer demand nationwide. This was originally put in place to prevent excess purchasing behavior. For customers looking for items, our website updates with the latest available store inventory information frequently throughout the day. Additionally, Walgreens Same Day Delivery and Pickup provide contactless options for receiving products."

Walgreens noted that it previously only had online purchase limits of these products in place, and has not had in-store purchase limits.
