Wendland to mark 16 years moderating DSN Industry Issues Summit panel
Participants in the Chronic Care panel at the 21st annual Drug Store News Industry Issues Summit will be in good hands again this year. The panel’s moderator, Hamacher Resource Group vice president of strategic relations Dave Wendland, will be making his 16th time moderating a panel at the event, which is set for Dec. 4 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.
Wendland will lead a panel that includes Costco’s Becky Dant, Rite Aid’s Summer Williams Kerley, H-E-B’s Leon Nevers, Weis Markets’ Rick Seipp, UnitedHealthcare’s Shannon Huneke, BD’s Stacy Burch and Atkins’ Collette Heimowitz. The six topics being discussed will include patient access to care, the role of pharmacists in chronic care management, outcomes measurement and future chronic care priorities.
“I am honored and privileged to once again moderate this discussion and be invited by Drug Store News to delve into this important topic. Although I have led this discussion since 2004, there has never been a better time to consider the factors that have led consumers to take a more active role in their well-being, retail formats and options that are addressing the needs of those patients and family caregivers managing chronic conditions, and products and services that have been introduced to assist in monitoring, treating, and maintaining such health concerns.”
