Whisps intros cheese crumbs, crisps snacks

Whisps Snacks is channeling the general public’s love for cheese with its latest snacking options.

New from the brand are the Cheese Crumbs and Cheese Crisps and Nuts.

Containing parmesan and cheddar cheeses, both new products aim to offer consumers seeking keto-friendly, low carb and high protein snacking alternatives, the company said.

“Whisps fans are at the core of every decision we make and watching how people incorporate our cheese crisps into their daily lives has inspired our next moves,” Katie Nahoum, senior vice president of marketing at Whisps said. “In the past five years, we’ve seen our fans get creative with our Cheese Crisps, using them as an ingredient in their favorite meals and creating savory trail mixes with our Cheese Crisps. With premium, quality cheese as the star of our new Cheese Crumbs and Cheese Crisps and Nuts lines, we’re thrilled to introduce new ways to enjoy cheese throughout your day and cannot wait to see what our fans create.”

The Cheese Crumbs, which come in buffalo and Italian herb varieties, are made with 14-month aged artisanal parmesan cheese, contain 13 g of protein per serving and are low carb, gluten-free and keto friendly.

On the other hand, Cheese Crisps and Nuts, which contain 8 to 9 g of protein per serving as well as 3 g of net carbs and less than 1 g of sugar per serving, is available in three options. Available varieties include:

• Tangy Ranch, made with a blend of cheddar Whisps, roasted almonds, cashews and pecans tumbled together in a rangy ranch blend;
• Smoky Barbeque, features a mix of cheddar Whisps, almonds, cashews and pecans; and
• Garlic Herb, made with a garlic herb spice blend, it contains parmesan Whisps, almonds, cashews, pistachios and pecans.

Consumers can find Whisps Cheese Crumbs at Kroger and select Costco stores, as well as Amazon.com for a suggested retail price of $6.99 per 3-oz. bag and $8.99 per 8-oz. bag.

The Whisps Cheese Crisps and Nuts are available in resealable packages at Kroger markets nationwide for the suggested retail price of $7.99 per 5.75-oz. bag.
