Albertsons banners now accepting Synchrony’s CareCredit
Albertsons’ banners stores including Safeway, Vons, Acme, Shaw’s and Jewel-Osco, are now accepting Synchrony’s CareCredit health and wellness credit card.
"At Synchrony, we know our families' health and wellness is not just pursued at the doctor's office but is also found at our local grocery store," said Beto Casellas, executive vice president and chief executive officer of health and eellness at Synchrony. "By expanding the CareCredit network through this new offering with Albertsons, we are helping to ensure that consumers have more options to pay for their health and wellness products in a way that's convenient for them."
CareCredit users can now utilize their card at most locations for health and wellness items including pharmacy prescriptions and deductibles; over-the-counter health products such as first aid, vitamins and cold and allergy medications; select personal care items as oral care, eat and eye care and hygiene; select beauty items such as hair care essentials; select pet food; supplies and baby essentials such as diapers and formula.

"At Albertsons, we are continually broadening our relationships to ensure our customers have more options, flexibility and convenient ways to access prescriptions; personal, pet and baby care essentials; over-the-counter products; and other necessary items," said Irina Pelphrey, group vice president of health at Albertsons. "Through our collaboration with CareCredit, cardholders can now shop at their preferred local Albertsons grocery store for the products they need on their health and wellness journey."
Since June 2023, Synchrony expanded its financing programs across the wellness industry to include preventative care, nutrition and weight loss programs, holistic and lifestyle services such as acupuncture, chiropractic care and counseling.
