There is a new recycle-ready, mono-dose way to obtain beauty product samples.

Arcade Beauty is introducing its new 80% Paper Packette, which replaces the traditional foil sachet in a sample and reduces plastic. The first skin care company that will be rolling out the improved sampling packets is Origins, who helped develop the new format.

"At Origins, we believe in harnessing the power of nature and science to create high-performing skincare while advancing packaging sustainability," said Lauren De Sanctis, executive director global packaging. "Partnering with Arcade Beauty to bring the 80% Paper Packette to life reflects ambition to implement our conscious packaging pillars. By transitioning our sampling formats to this innovative solution, we are taking another significant step toward our conscious packaging goals— advancing the use of recyclability by design and recycled content use, as well as minimizing plastic use associated with multimaterial samples. This collaboration is a testament to the power of partnerships in driving sustainability and innovation forward."

For brands, transitioning samples from a traditional foil sachet format to Arcade Beauty’s 80% paper structure will deliver substantial environmental benefits, including a 76% reduction in plastic use and a 63% decrease in CO₂ emissions, the company shared.

“We are very excited to launch this new product, which took two years to develop in collaboration with Origins," said Carl Allain, CEO and president of Arcade Beauty. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Origins teams who worked with us on this development, as well as Arcade Beauty's technical and engineering teams for this outstanding achievement. We are very proud to be able to continue reducing our carbon emissions and provide our customers with more sustainable packaging solutions.“
