Edgewell Personal Care promotes Mekhail to VP Americas
SHELTON, Conn. — Edgewell Personal Care announced this week that it had promoted one of its own to the position of VP Americas, effective April 4. In his new role, Adel Mekhail oversees the commercial functions for the company’s business in North America and Latin America.
Most recently, Mekhail was the company’s VP and GM for the company’s Private brands Group, as well as VP Latin America for Edgewell Personal Care. He began his career in sales and marketing in Australia, where he rose to lead the Schick business. He moved to the United States in 2000, working in various global and domestic roles becoming VP marketing in 2010 with the integration of Schick and Playtex.
In December 2013, Mekhail became VP Asian Pacific region of Energizer, leading the brand’s strategic and operational aspects in that area. The company said he played a key role in establishing the new Edgewell for Asia and Latin America.
