SkinCeuticals is launching a concentrated face cream with pure retinol.
The brand’s new Retinol 0.3 looks to help improve the appearance of visible signs of aging as well as skin discoloration, while also minimizing breakouts and refining pores.
“SkinCeuticals is a leader in retinol technology, which is why I am thrilled about the addition of Retinol 0.3 to their portfolio,” Dr. Karan Sra, said. “At a 0.3% retinol concentration, my reactive skin patients can finally reap the benefits of pure retinol, while keeping irritation to a minimum. It is also a great introductory product, so patients who haven't used a retinol can ease their way into higher strengths.”
The cream also is formulated with bisabolol and boswellia serrata extract to minimize irritation, with packaging that is designed to preserve its potency, the company said.
“Through our widespread network of physician partners, we have seen market demand for a product that offers all the great benefits of retinol but doesn't yield the infamous irritable side effects,” Christina Fair, general manager of SkinCeuticals said. “This product allows us to get back to our SkinCeuticals heritage founded on Dr. Sheldon Pinnell's philosophy of three main pillars: prevent future signs of aging with antioxidants, protect healthy skin with sunscreens, and correct visible concerns with retinol and other advanced corrective products. He believed daily exfoliation was an essential corrective step for healthy skin. Retinol 0.3 is a great product to help establish consistent skin tolerance before advancing to one of our higher concentrations.”
SkinCeuticals’ Retinol 0.3 is non-comedogenic, gluten-free and made without parabens or fragrances. It is availble for purchase on the company’s website or select dermatologist office nationwide for the suggested retail price of $62.
