Tarte Cosmetics is expanding its mark in the beauty world by introducing consumers to its new sister brand Awake.
Inspired by Japanese skin care, the cruelty-free line harnesses the energizing powers of plant antioxidants to revive, restore and regenerate skin, the company said.
Awake is a direct-to-consumer line that is priced under $40 and was founded by Maureen Kelly, who also founded tarte cosmetics.
“It's an honor to be entrusted with one of Kosé's heritage brands, and a pleasure reinventing it for the global consumer," Maureen Kelly, CEO and co-founder of tarte cosmetics, said. “Life isn't about being perfect, it's about being the best version of yourself and having a total blast while you're at it. Our goal at tarte is always to create cruelty-free and easy-to-use products packed with healthy ingredients that deliver real results. We're thrilled to bring the new Awake to beauty lovers around the world, and we hope they share our passion.”
Awake’s products hydrate and brighten skin for long-term results and contains such ingredients as sesame sprout extract, rice germ oil, corn germ oil, hemp powder, jojoba oil, lavender and other skin care essentials.
All products formulated by the New York City-based brand are not tested on animals and do not contain parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, gluten, BHT, triclosan or sodium lauryl sulfate.
