Ben & Jerry’s caters to pups with Doggie Desserts

Gisselle

For the first time in its history, the ice cream brand is unveiling a line of frozen treats created specifically for canines.

Doggie Desserts by Ben & Jerry’s contain a sunflower butter base and are available in two varieties — Pontch’s Mix, which features peanut butter and pretzel swirls, and Rosie’s Batch, which has pumpkin and mini cookies.

“We know our fans love their dogs and treat them like family,” Lindsay Bumps, a Ben & Jerry's global marketing specialist who also happens to be a certified veterinary technician said. “We created this product line so pups can enjoy something even better than belly rubs. Doggie Desserts are the sweetest treat they'll ever put their paws on.”

Pet parents can find Ben & Jerry’s Doggie Desserts in 4-oz. mini cups that retail for $2.99 and four-count multipacks for $4.99 at supermarkets, mass retailers and select pet stores across the nation.
