Bliss is celebrating a major achievement.
The skin care brand recently announced that it has been certified by B Corp, which means that it meets the company’s standards of verified social and environmental performance, as well as public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
Since relaunching in 2018, the brand has been working to ensure consumers’ skin and the environment is taken care of.
In addition, the brand has been formulating its products in line with PETA and EU standards, prioritizing sustainability via a partnership with TerraCycle, and advancing its philanthropic efforts with the Trevor Project.
“Over the last several years, our commitment to people, animals and the planet set the stage to successfully submit for B Corp’s highly sought-after seal of approval,” Bliss CEO Meri Baregamian said. “Only 1% of brands that apply for the certification are approved, and we’re thrilled to be part of the select few who lead the way for the future of clean, sustainable beauty brands.”
Currently, Bliss works to ensure its products are clean and safe by using ethically sourced, high-quality ingredients that are 90% vegan and cruelty-free, the company said.
“B Corp is the gold standard for businesses doing good and always prioritizing social and environmental values in all their decision-making, so we knew that it was a certification we wanted to pursue,” Baregamian said. “We are so excited to see our hard work to date pay off with this outstanding recognition and look forward to building upon the work we’ve been doing to meet these rigorous standards.”
