Bridgepoint acquiring RoC Skincare

The skin care brand’s current backer, Gryphon Investors, will sell its majority shareholding in the company as part of the transaction.

Bridgepoint has made a strategic investment in RoC Skincare.

The skin care brand’s current backer, Gryphon Investors, will sell its majority shareholding in the company as part of the transaction.

Founded in 1957 by Dr. Jean-Charles Lissarrague in Paris, RoC Skincare offers dermatologist-backed skin health products that focus on aging skin, including broad-spectrum UV protection and retinol products sold across the United States, Canada, France, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and China. 

“Under Fernando’s leadership, RoC has become an impressive standalone business with a rich European heritage and dermatology expertise. The company’s unique, clinically proven products for ageing skin conditions are a highly appealing customer proposition with significant growth opportunities,” said Fabrice Turcq, partner at Bridgepoint. “With Bridgepoint’s support, RoC is poised to accelerate growth in Europe and beyond, strengthen its online presence and expand its product offering.”

The transaction, expected to close in February, represents the 6th acquisition by Bridgepoint’s  Europe VII fund focused on investing in mid-market growth businesses.
