Haleon will focus 100% on consumer health, with a portfolio of brands including Sensodyne, Panadol, Advil, Voltaren Theraflu, Otrivin and Centrum, the company said.
The sale reportedly will lead to the dismantling of the Walgreens Boots Alliance, which was set up in 2014 when Walgreens took full control of the health and beauty chain.
Bob Sasser’s retirement follows a tenure with the company of more than 20 years, during which he aided Dollar Tree’s growth in the value retail sector.
