  • Lupin names new chief corporate development officer

    MUMBAI — Lupin is looking to a longtime pharmaceutical industry veteran to head its business development and global mergers and acquisitions functions. The company named Jim Loerop its chief corporate development officer Monday, charging him with integrating its business development, licensing and M&A teams to drive its business strategy.

  • Eder to leave Drug Store News

    NEW YORK — Lebhar Friedman, parent company of Drug Store News, has announced that associate publisher and editor in chief Rob Eder has decided to leave the publication, effective Sept. 15.

    Eder, who joined Drug Store News in 1997, advanced steadily through the organization from OTC editor to executive editor to editor in chief and associate publisher, with responsibility for DSN print, digital media and live events. Eder is leaving to pursue an entrepreneurial endeavor in an unrelated field.

  • Walmart plans new home office

    BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Even headquarters have a shelf life.

    Walmart is planning to build a new, central headquarters — one better suited to a "digitally native" workforce — in its hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas. The discount giant revealed the news in a note by CEO Doug McMillion on the company's website.

  • Henkel gets new North American HQ

    Stamford, Conn. — Henkel Consumer Goods officially has a new North American Headquarters. The company began operations at its new location in downtown Stamford, Conn. in late August with the arrival of roughly 425 employees from both the company’s laundry and home care business and its beauty care business.

  • Kroger, Lidl drop own brand trademark infringement suit

    RICHMOND, Va.— The U.S. District Court here on Tuesday officially dismissed the Kroger lawsuit against Lidl, which alleged Lidl infringed on Kroger's private label trademark. Both parties filed a stipulation of dismissal on Sept. 7, the court reported.

    According to that stipulation, the parties agreed to dismiss the suit with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled anytime in the future, with each side bearing their own attorney fees and court costs.

    JERUSALEM — Teva has a named its next leader. The company on Monday announced the appointment of Kåre Schultz as its president and CEO, who will take over the position from Dr. Yitzhak Peterburg.

  • CVS Health to host job fair to staff Pittsburgh-area call centers

    PITTSBURGH — Looking to fill more than 200 full-time positions, CVS Health on Friday announced a job fair here, set to take place in Monroeville, Pa., from 1-6 p.m. on Sept. 14. The positions are at the company’s Pittsburgh and Monroeville customer support inbound call centers.

  • Coty names new chief science officer

    NEW YORK — Coty has found someone to fill its chief science officer position. The company named former Revlon chief science officer and EVP research and development Daniel Ramos to the position Friday.
