Pharmavite said the acquisition of four-year-old Uqora was meant to strengthen its position in the women’s health market, where it already sells the menopause-focused Equelle brand.

The companies will open 29 co-located clinics at Walgreens stores in Houston, Austin and El Paso as they continue to push for 600 of the clinics over the next four years.

Synergy Medical’s 150 employees will join Parata, with the SynMed business continuing to operate out of Quebec with Jean Boutin as president.

Aurobindo is consolidating all of its injectable business and related assets under its subsidiary Eugia Pharma.

The agreement currently covers one delayed-release tablet product and two injectable products, which collectively had sales of $300 million for the year ended April 2021.
