As of June, nearly half (47%) of Oregon’s 4.1 million residents were fully vaccinated and more than half (55.8%) had received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as of July 9, 62.4% of the Massachusetts population was fully vaccinated, including 73.1% of people aged 18 years old and older.
The efforts come as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warn that influenza infection rates could return to pre-pandemic levels this season.
With cases rising as a result of the Delta variant, the best way for pregnant individuals to protect themselves against the potential harm from COVID-19 infection is to be vaccinated, the groups said.
