  • AAM unveils push for CREATES Act passage

    WASHINGTON — The Association for Accessible Medicines has rolled out a new video and infographic in support of its campaign for patients to call on their representatives to support legislation supporting the generics industry. The materials outline AAM’s case for passing the Creating and Resorting Equal Access to Equivalent Samples Act.

  • NACDS touts in-district RxImpact efforts

    ALEXANDRIA, Va. — With Congress back from its August recess, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores has shared some data about the efforts it made to reach out to lawmakers in their district. The organization said that more than half of NACDS RxImpact 2017 activities allowed advocates access to legislators who support pharmacist provider status, and that almost 20% signed on to support the bill following the in-district efforts.

  • Harris Teeter supports United Way through donation card campaign

    MATTHEWS, N.C. — Harris Teeter on Wednesday launched a donation card campaign to support United Way. From Aug. 30, 2017 through Sept. 29, 2017, Harris Teeter customers will be invited to make a $1, $3 or $5 donation to United Way at checkout.  

    In 2016, Harris Teeter raised more than $458,000 for local United Way chapters as part of this campaign.

  • NACDS, coalition ads thank legislators for backing pro-patient, pro-pharmacy bill

    In newspaper ads placed in selected Congressional districts this August, NACDS is thanking members of the U.S. House of Representatives for co-sponsoring the Pharmacy and Medically Underserved Areas Enhancement Act (H.R. 592/S. 109). NACDS also is urging the members of Congress to work toward ultimate passage and enactment of the legislation.
