  • Adidas introduces Moves Pulse fragrance for him, her

    NEW YORK Adidas is promoting its new Adidas Moves Pulse fragrances for guys and girls with a contest that encourages students nationwide to show their "ultimate moves."

    The new Adidas Moves Pulse Him is a spicy, woody fougere fragrance. The top notes of yuzu leaves and bursts of watermint join the aroma of coriander. Mid-notes are violet leaves, artemisia and vetiver. The fragrance also has base scents of warm, woody cedar and sun-drenched woods, wrapped in masculine musk.

  • Physicians Formula challenges beauty mavens to show off their skills

    AZUSA, Calif. Cosmetics brand Physicians Formula has kicked off a makeup challenge whereby beauty mavens have a chance to win $5,000 and other prizes.

    To participate, video bloggers demonstrate how to create makeup looks using Physician Formula cosmetics and upload their video to MyPFBeauty.com. The video is then available for viewing and voting. The contest ends Sept. 30.

  • Head & Shoulders insures NFL star's hair

    CINCINNATI Procter & Gamble's Head & Shoulders hair care brand is taking out a $1 million insurance policy on Pittsburgh Steelers safety and brand spokesman Troy Polamalu's trademark hair.

    Together with insurance agency Watkins Syndicate at Lloyd's of London, the brand has created the first-ever insurance policy to protect Polamalu's full and thick Samoan locks for the entire NFL season.

  • Reed's to launch swing-top bottles

    LOS ANGELES Reed's is updating its beverage line's packaging with new swing-top bottles.

     

    "We find that people love the old-style European craftsmanship of swing-top bottles and are willing to pay a premium for them," stated Chris Reed, founder, chairman and CEO of Reed's. "For many years, we had to go to Europe to get production of the swing-lid bottles.We are now pleased that we can offer domestic swing-lid production for our brands and select private-label customers."
