Captain Morgan’s Gingerbread Spiced spreads holiday cheer

‘Tis the season of holiday flavors.

Those looking to get a jump start on the happiest time of the year can now do so thanks to a new launch from Captain Morgan.

The company unveiled its new Gingerbread Spiced beverage, which is a limited-edition launch featuring a snow-frosted cap and textured label that mirrors that of a gingerbread cookie.

Distilled with the taste of gingerbread for a seasonal spiced flavor, the beverage is also being channeled into an ice cream sandwich via a partnership with Big Gay Ice Cream in New York and Philadelphia.

From Nov. 21 to Dec. 26, those who are 21 years old or older can stop by to pick up the Captain Morgan Gingerbread Spiced ‘Merry Morgan’ Trucker after 5:00 pm, the company said.

"The holidays are the time of the year we all gather for a good time with friends and family, and Captain Morgan Gingerbread Spiced captures a really special flavor that adds a little seasonal fun to those get-togethers," Christina Choi, the Diageo senior vice president of rum, gin & tequila, said. "Big Gay Ice Cream is such an iconic shop that stands for inclusive fun, and we're so happy to be partnering with them. Our 'Merry Morgan' Ice Cream Truckers are a great way to cap off a fun day out with your crew."

Captain Morgan’s Gingerbread Spiced can now be found on shelves nationwide for a limited time. Containing an ABV of 30%, it retails for $14.99.
