    NEW YORK — Best Damn Brewing announced Wednesday that it is expanding its line of hard sodas. The brand is introducing its hard cream soda, which is set to hit shelves nationwide on March 6, alongside a series of TV spots.

    HERSHEY, Pa. — Hershey’s incoming president and CEO, Michele Buck, has chosen key members of the executive leadership team, the company announced Thursday. The leadership team — a combination of promoted executives already with Hershey and a hire from Unilever — also will comprise four top Hershey executives continuing on in their current roles.

    AUSTIN, Texas — Household cleaning brand Lemi Shine, which uses natural citric extracts and no harsh chemicals, announced two new products recently. The brand is introducing its Everyday Cleaner with GunkGuard and Laundry Booster with FunkGuard. 
     
  • CVS removes artificial trans fats from all exclusive store brands food products

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Pharmacy removed partially hydrogenated oils, the artificial trans fats in processed foods, from all excusive store brands food products. CVS is the first national retail pharmacy to make this move, according to the company.

    CVS now offers more than 600 exclusive snack and grocery options that are free from artificial trans fats. Trans fats are purportedly linked to rising rates of heart disease in the United States.

  • Mondelez to introduce new Véa brand this year

    BOCA RATON, Fla. — Mondelēz International is looking to launch a new “power brand,” aimed at driving incremental growth, the company announced Tuesday at the Consumer Analyst Group of New York Conference.
     
    “Well-being is a significant growth opportunity for us, both in developed and emerging markets,” Mondelēz International chief growth officer Tim Cofe said. “In fact, 2017 will be our biggest year ever in the well-being space with unprecedented innovation and renovation of our portfolio.”
  • Unilever to conduct review of strategic options

    LONDON — Following word Kraft Heinz would no longer pursue an acquisition of the company, Unilever announced Wednesday it will conduct a comprehensive review of options available to “accelerate delivery of value for the benefit of our shareholders.”

    “The events of the last week have highlighted the need to capture more quickly the value we see in Unilever,” Unilever said in a statement. “We expect the review to be completed by early April, after which we will communicate further.”
