  • Munchkin launches Click Lock line

    NORTH HILLS, Calif. — A designer and manufacturer of infant and toddler products has introduced a new collection of spill-proof cups.

    Munchkin said its Click Lock cups are BPA-free and utilize tactile, visual and audio cues to confirm the cup's lid is properly locked in place. The cups also are available in a variety of designs, colors and styles, including trainer, sippy, straw, flip straw and big kid cups.

  • Seal Shields protect iPhones, iPads from germs

    LAS VEGAS — An iPhone and iPad waterproofing solution that offers antimicrobial product protection has hit the market.

    Seal Shields are form-fitting, polyurethane covers that make iPhones and iPads 100% waterproof, washable and disinfectable, according to the product's manufacturer. The product, which is completely invisible and preserves the original Apple design, contains an antimicrobial fungistatic agent that protects the product by inhibiting the growth of microbial bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi on the products' surfaces.

  • Report: Dr Pepper Snapple Group set to gear 10-calorie beverages toward women

    PLANO, Texas — Dr Pepper Snapple Group reportedly is expanding its line of 10-calorie soft drinks beyond the company's Dr Pepper brand.

    The company's Dr Pepper Ten brand, which debuted in October, removes the "diet" stigma by marketing the 10-calorie beverage toward men through a campaign that underscored "it's not for women." According to a report published by the Dallas Morning News' Biz Beat Blog, however, DPS is set to bring 10-calorie beverages to its 7Up, Sunkist, Canada Dry, A&W and RC brands, and will target both men and women.

    PLANO, Texas — Snapple is combining two of its staple beverages into one with the official debut of Diet Half ‘n Half Lemonade Iced Tea.

    “Some combinations are too perfect to pass up,” Snapple VP marketing Regan Ebert said. “Snapple is always looking to make the Best Stuff even better and the new Diet Half ‘n Half offers our fans a tasty, low-calorie combination of two classic flavors that is sure to please, whichever side you’re rooting for.”

    HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Mars is extending its popular Dove brand with its new chocolate-covered raisins and peanuts mix. Dove’s new spin on the classic combination of taste and textures will hit retail shelves in April and is packaged in a standup pouch designed to enhance shelf presence.


    The “hand-to-mouth” candy segment increasingly is popular with consumers. With $1.6 billion in sales annually, according to Mars, unwrapped bite-sized candy is emerging as a growth segment for manufacturers and retailers.

  • Jelly Belly Snapple Mix makes debut

    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly has introduced a new line of jelly beans inspired by Snapple beverages.

    Jelly Belly Snapple Mix are made with natural ingredients, including real fruit juice, Snapple juice drink concentrates and fruit purees, and do not contain artificial coloring, Jelly Belly said. The product will be packaged in a 1.65-oz. bottle package that is modeled after the real Snapple Juice Drink bottles. In addition to the new 1.65-oz. Jelly Belly Snapple Bottle, Jelly Belly Snapple Mix also is available in a 3.1-oz. bag, a 6.5-oz. bag and 4.5-oz. box.
