    MIAMI — Winn-Dixie’s latest transformational remodel in Miami is a store of the future with a merengue twist, featuring a strong Hispanic influence.

    In addition to bilingual signage, Winn-Dixie incorporates the regional flair with features like a full-service Cuban café replete with such Spanish pastries as empanadas, as well as a wide variety of Hispanic products.

  • 'Detox Flow Yoga' arrives on DVD

    NEW YORK — Gaiam announced the release of Seane Corn's "Detox Flow Yoga" DVD.

    The DVD stars Corn, a renowned yoga instructor, which introduces users to poses that improve circulation and digestion, build strength, and help lose weight, the company said. The DVD features two Vinyasa practices, along with a bonus downloadable practice, including a 30-minute Twist and Flow routine, a 60-minute Purify routine a 10-minute Core Energy bonus routine.

  • Nestlé Crunch introduces limited-edition candy bar for holidays

    GLENDALE, Calif. — Nestlé Crunch has unveiled a limited-edition chocolate bar that will be available this holiday season.

    Partnering with Paul Frank Industries, the candy is a 2.75-oz. bar tucked inside a colorful gift envelope, which doubles as a holiday card and features characters from the Paul Frank collection, including Julius the Monkey and Clancy the Giraffe.

  • Culver Specialty Brands division now owned by B&G Foods

    LONDON and ROTTERDAM, Netherlands — Unilever has completed the sale of one of its divisions to B&G Foods.

    Unilever said its Culver Specialty Brands division — whose portfolio includes Mrs. Dash salt-free seasoning blends, Molly McButter flavored sprinkles, Sugar Twin sugar substitute, Baker’s Joy baking spray and Static Guard anti-static spray, all of which are sold in the United States and Canada — was sold to B&G Foods in an all-cash transaction valued at $325 million.

  • ConAgra completes National Pretzel acquisition

    OMAHA, Neb. — ConAgra Foods has completed its acquisition of private-label pretzel maker National Pretzel, the company announced.

    The company announced its agreement to acquire National Pretzel from Brookstone Holding on Nov. 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    Lancaster, Pa.-based National Pretzel includes three bakeries located in Lancaster, Pa., Hanover, Pa., and Visalia, Calif. Additionally, more than 700 National Pretzel employees officially joined ConAgra as part of the transaction, the company said.

    WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Sabra has introduced a limited-edition hummus product in time for the holiday season.

    Made with rosemary, olive oil and sea salt, Sabra Season's Finest hummus is a gluten-free and certified kosher product and features a specially designed metallic foil packaging.

    Season's Finest hummus can be found in the 17-oz. size at grocery stores in the Pacific Northwest, New England and New York metro area, and in the 25-oz. size at Sam's Club stores nationwide through early January.
