  • P&G announces organizational changes

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble has announced a string of organizational changes, including the retirement of Edward Shirley, vice chairman of beauty and grooming, after 33 years of service.

    Shirley will retire from P&G, effective Jan. 1, 2012. Until that time, effective July 1, 2011, Shirley has been named vice chairman on special assignment, continuing to report to Robert McDonald, P&G chairman, president and CEO. Shirley will be focused on ensuring the seamless transition of the beauty and grooming business, P&G stated.

    BETHESDA, Md. — Honest Tea is adding another zero-calorie beverage to its lineup.

    New zero-calorie, USDA-certified organic, caffeine-free classic lemonade is the first zero-calorie Honest Ade naturally sweetened with organic stevia, the company said. The new variety is the brand's second zero-calorie offering.

    IRVING, Texas — Consumers have helped Hostess add a new Twinkie flavor to its lineup.

    Based on its Hostess Twinkie Mania sweepstakes, the snack brand will debut lemon meringue Twinkies next year for a limited time.

    Lemon meringue edged out the raspberry tart, cookies 'n creme and blueberry pie flavors.
