  • Coca-Cola launches Vitaminwater Stur-D

    WHITESTONE, N.Y. Coca-Cola has unveiled a new Vitaminwater drink, which is enhanced with vitamin D.

    Vitaminwater Stur-D, a blue agave, passion fruit and citrus-flavored blend, is the first enhanced water and juice beverage to include vitamins C and D and calcium, Coca-Cola said.

  • P&G's 'purpose-inspired' growth strategy helps business

    CINCINNATI "Innovation that truly improves people's lives is more important than ever," Procter & Gamble's chairman, president and CEO Bob McDonald said to company shareholders at its annual meeting.

    Commenting on its "purpose-inspired" growth strategy, McDonald said that while significant opportunties for improvement lay ahead, P&G continues to see growth; organic sales grew 3%, core earnings per share rose 6% and adjusted free cash flow was 125% of net earnings for the last fiscal year ended June 30.

    ATLANTA —Newell Rubbermaid has launched a new microfiber mop that’s economically and environmentally friendly. Rubbermaid Reveal Microfiber spray mop features a reusable microfiber pad that can be used with a cleaning solution or with water alone.

    Unlike many spray mops on the market, Rubbermaid Reveal’s spray bottle is refillable, an economically friendly feature that allows consumers to mix their own cleaning solutions for a savings of up to $50 annually. The reusable microfiber pad is machine washable and can be used up to 100 times.

    GLENDALE, Calif. —Just in time for Halloween, Nestle has added a bite-sized Butterfinger product to its 87-year-old classic candy brand. New ButterFinger Snackerz is a smooth Butterfinger candy center wrapped in a crispy, wafer biscuit and covered with chocolate and a decorative drizzle of peanut butter. It combines the classic Butterfinger flavors with new elements to provide a new snacking experience.

    CINCINNATI Procter & Gamble honored its top performing external business partners at its supplier and agency summit on Thursday.

    P&G's annual summit recognizes and celebrates those key contributors who have demonstrated partner excellence. Bob McDonald, P&G's chairman, president and CEO, said that the company's partnerships with business partners and retail customers "are built upon the fundamental idea of improving lives."

    BISMARCK, N.D. An all-natural rodent repellant continues to gain a stronger retail presence with more than 3 million pouches sold, which come in convenient four-pack boxes.

    Earth-Kind's Fresh Cab, created by gardener and environmentalist Warberg Block, uses ground corn cobs soaked in essential botanical oils and packaged in small biodegradable pouches.

    Fresh Cab is sold at 15,000 home, garden, hardware and farm and ranch stores throughout the nation.
