Copina Co. is expanding its roster of gluten-free and non-GMO vegan collagen blends.
The San Diego, Calif.-based company announced that it is rolling out two new products — Vanilla Plant-Based Collagen Boost Drink Blend and a single-serve option of its Matcha Plant-Based Collagen Boost Stick Packs.
Unlike other collagen products, which use peptides sourced from such sources as cowhides, fish skins and eggshells, Copina Co. uses such ingredients as organic tremella mushroom extract, amla berry powder, bamboo leaf extract and hyaluronic acid, the company said.
“Through my arduous journey to heal my cystic acne and gut health, I began building a more positive relationship with my body through holistic medicine,” Carolyn Yachanin, Copina Co. founder and CEO said. “At first, I was using a lot of animal-based collagen, but I didn’t like how it made me feel or what was in it. I began working with herbalists to discover nature’s most potent plant botanicals that could give the same collagen-boosting benefits in a fun, easy-to-use, drinkable form. It was then that my determination to bring the power of plant botanicals to the masses and Copina were born!”
Currently, Copina Co.’s Vanilla Plant-Based Collagen Boost Blends, which come in a 28-serving pouch, retails for $29 and can be found online at CopinaCo.com, as well as Anthropologie.com.
The Matcha Stick Pack Plant-Based Collagen Boost Drink Blends, retailing for $26.30 per 10-pack, will be available beginning in April online and at retailers across the nation.
