SAN FRANCISCO — McKesson on Monday announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase RxCrossroads from CVS Health in a deal valued at $735 million. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2018, subject to customary closing conditions, including necessary regulatory clearances.

WARREN, N.J. — In support of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, GSK Consumer Healthcare, CVS Health and the American Lung Association's Lung Force are joining together to help people quit smoking and raise awareness of lung cancer. For every box of Nicorette or NicoDerm CQ purchased at a CVS Pharmacy throughout November, GSK Consumer Healthcare will donate $1 to the American Lung Association's Lung Force (up to $100,000).

Starting early next year, the retail division of CVS Health will be offering nationwide next-day prescription delivery, and it will be bringing same-day delivery to patients in select cities, with Manhattan’s same-day service kicking off on Dec. 4.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — As Florida’s Broward County sees an uptick in hepatitis A cases, CVS Health is encouraging patients in the area to get vaccinated. So far this year, the county has seen 34 cases of hepatitis A — an increase over the typical seven cases annually, according to the Florida Department of Health.

CVS Health said its 10 MinuteClinic locations in Broward County are stocked with the hepatitis A vaccine, and the vaccine is available at its 76 CVS Pharmacy locations in the county on a walk-in basis.

The company on Monday announced the latest effort, taking place Oct. 29 through Nov. 19  at CVS Pharmacy location nationwide, allowing customers to donate $1, $3 or more at checkout or online.
