  • Competitive Promotion Report debuts new website

    MARIETTA, Ga. — Competitive Promotion Report has given its website a makeover.

    CPR said its site, which will be unveiled Friday, is a dramatic departure from the previous site as it is designed to reflect the company's focus on providing their clients with actionable competitive intelligence and insights to help them develop more effective strategies and find solutions to the competitive issues they face.

  • P&G donates $75K to USA Gymnastics

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble has donated a $75,000 grant to USA Gymnastics to support youth sports development, which has the potential to benefit up to 1 million kids.

    P&G said the grant will be used to benefit the USA Gymnastics fitness program, which encourages kids ages 6 to 16 years to engage in physical fitness through training, exercise and nutrition awareness. This is the first of several grants that will be awarded to national governing bodies to help encourage youth to engage in sports, the company noted.

  • Sabona launches magnetic athletic necklace

    SIKESTON, Mo. — Sabona has introduced a magnetic athletic necklace to its product line.

    The necklaces feature 1,200 gauss magnets embedded in a black accent and are combined with minus ion producing materials in a colorful stretch fabric.

    "We introduced our first leather magnetic necklace at the beginning of 2012 and are pleased to introduce a sporty, casual necklace to the Sabona line," Sabona national sales manager Corey McNew said.

  • Nielsen unveils winners of Breakthrough Innovation Awards

    HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Nielsen announced the winners of an award that honors new products that succeed on multiple dimensions over a three-year period.

    The Nielsen Breakthrough Innovation Awards, which were presented at the company's Consumer 360 event in Hollywood, Fla., honored products for exhibiting the following attributes:

    • Distinctiveness: a new value proposition. Brand re-stages, ingredient reformulations, re-packaging, size changes, and close-in line extensions were excluded;

  • Coinstar completes $100 million deal for NCR's DVD kiosks

    BELLEVUE, Wash. — Coinstar said Monday it has completed its $100 million acquisition of DVD rental kiosks and other assets from NCR.

    Under the terms of the deal, Coinstar will buy products and services from NCR. According to Coinstar, the addition of the kiosks will allow its Redbox DVD rental kiosks to expand to new retail partners.

    CINCINNATI — Pampers is celebrating the upcoming Fourth of July holiday and the London 2012 Olympic Games with the launch of limited-edition diapers.

    Pampers limited-edition USA diapers feature a "USA" logo print combined with red, white and blue stars and stripe designs and now are available, while supplies last, at select stores nationwide. The diapers — which were developed in celebration of Procter & Gamble's partnership with the London 2012 Olympic Games — are available in Cruisers sizes 3 through 5..
