  • Mars Petcare partners with Rescue Bank

    NASHVILLE — Mars announced that its pet care business has partnered with Rescue Bank to to enable more efficient delivery of pet food donations to animal shelters and rescues.

    Mars Petcare, including Mars Petcare US, The Nutro Co. and Royal Canin, have teamed up with Rescue Bank, which "helps provide a reliable means for distributing wholesome, nutritious pet food that is approaching its “best by” date, benefiting both the manufacturers and nonprofit groups caring for pets in need."

  • Helen of Troy to acquire P&G's Pur business

    EL PASO, Texas — Helen of Troy has signed a definitive agreement to acquire all assets of Procter & Gamble's water purification brand.

    The acquisition of P&G's Pur Water Purification Products company includes the worldwide Pur trademark, its current and future product line, assets related to the operations of the Pur business, manufacturing equipment and more than 200 patents. Pur's products, which include faucet mount systems and filters, pitcher systems and filters, as well as refrigerator filters, are sold throughout the United States.

  • Rite Aid promotion gives Facebook users first dibs on coupons

    CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid Facebook fans are getting an early shot at coupons for gifts and stocking stuffers as part of a new promotion announced Monday.

    Rite Aid launched its "25 Deals of Christmas" promotion, which will allow visitors to a special tab on Rite Aid's Facebook page to download coupons for such items as beauty items, men's grooming gift sets, electronics and toys. The promotion started Monday and lasts until Dec. 23.

Packaged in resealable pouches, the wipes easily remove fingerprints, makeup, and skin oil and grease; won’t scratch glass surfaces; and virtually are lint-free, Kimberly-Clark said. KimTech* wipes are available in two packs (10 wipes per pack) and three packs (with 20 wipes per pack) for a suggested retail price of $3 and $7.49, respectively.

    NEW YORK — A new cardio dance workout is being released on DVD from Gaiam.

    "Rhythmica," which stars NYC Crunch fitness instructor Marc Santa Maria, combines results-driven workouts with the latest dance techniques to create a truly unique exercise experience, Gaiam said. "Rhythmic"a offers three 20-minute workouts, including the Get Fit House Party, Latin Dance Mix and Hip-Hop Fat Burn routines.
