  • Duane Reade to carry Winning Colours stain remover in January

    NEW YORK Winning Brands will make its Winning Colours stain remover available in 100 Duane Reade locations starting January 2011, the manufacturer announced on Friday.

    The stores will carry the new Winning Colours stain remover 12-unit display pack containing 4-fl.-oz. bottles designed for tight spaces and busy lives.

    DALEVILLE, Ind. This holiday season, one company is helping hosts keep their table settings chic without breaking the bank.

    Jarden's Diamond brand is promoting the use of its Diamond Brilliance plastic cutlery, which looks like real silverware with its polished silver-look and intricate handle design. Additionally, the Diamond brand now also offers natural wood GreenLight matches, strong, quick-to-light matches that have a long burn-time for ease of use. What's more, the matches and packaging for the GreenLight products are recyclable.

  • Downy brings Hispanic tradition to Houston

    HOUSTON Procter & Gamble's Downy brand has brought a popular Hispanic traditional activity to the Children's Museum of Houston.

    In partnership with the museum, Downy is bringing to life the Whimsical World of Sheet Castle display. The fabric sheet castles, which help put children's imaginations at play, are made with Downy dryer sheets and feature the brand's newest scent, Ultra Downy sun blossom.

  • Stopping sweat in its tracks

    PALM BEACH, Fla. Say goodbye to sweat stains with a new pre-treatment stain remover from PharmaWorks.

    PitStop, PharmaWorks' new innovation, removes stubborn yellow armpit stains by lifting and dissolving sweat-stain deposits and even can be used on old stains and rings around shirt collars.

    PitStop retails for $12.50 for a 12-oz. bottle.

  • CNE announces partnership with Hallmark Cards

    NEW YORK Cartoon Network's global licensing and merchandising arm has inked a deal with a greeting card manufacturer.

    Cartoon Network Enterprises said its long-term partnership with Hallmark Cards will include greeting cards and party supply items based on Cartoon Network’s portfolio of brands, including Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, Generator Rex and Adventure Time, CNE said.

    Hallmark’s product offerings will be available throughout North America.

  • Curtis thinks 'Tink' with new magazine for kids

    NEW MILFORD, N.J. Worldwide periodicals distributor Curtis has launched a new magazine for kids based on beloved Disney character Tinker Bell.

    Disney For Kids: Tinker Bell includes an extended-length story of Tinker Bell, an activity workbook, pull-out posters, crafts and more. The magazine will retail for $4.99 per issue.

    In related news, Curtis last month announced it would publish a bimonthly publication for the new Disney film "Tangled."

  • Bic improves its pens with new technology

    SHELTON, Conn. Bic celebrated the official launch of its Easy-Glide System ink technology, which has been incorporated into its Velocity retractable, Atlantis retractable and Pro+ ball pens.

    The technology provides up to 35% smoother writing compared with current Bic pen ink systems, the company said.

    To help celebrate the event, Bic is kicking off its "Get a Clue" event Nov. 3 and 4 at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal, which invites consumers to help solve a gigantic crossword puzzle and learn more about how Bic ballpoint pens are made.

  • Card enthusiasts will 'flip' for American Greetings

    CLEVELAND American Greetings is giving a nod to childhood with its new Flipbook cards, which contain an entertaining animation produced by simply pulling panels to reveal a surprising design.

     

    The interactive animation can tell a story or deliver a birthday message, American Greetings said.
