  • ECRM taps industry veteran to lead HBC team

    SOLON, Ohio — ECRM has appointed Tony Giovanini as SVP health and beauty care, charged with deepening ECRM’s presence in the HBC industry while initiating and leading business development efforts. He will oversee the HBC team and will report directly to ECRM CEO Greg Farrar.

    ASPEN, Colo. — At Fortune’s Brainstorm Tech Conference here, Target CEO Brian Cornell sat down to discuss the company’s strategy to reach its consumers and where it sees itself in the retail landscape — touting the key role its store base plays in its business even as it builds up its digital infrastructure. He also emphasized the company’s connection with its shoppers — and noted a sizeable dip in shopping activity among Hispanic consumers in the United States in the past several months.

  • Clinical research backs EarlySense's contact-free, at-home sleep monitor

    RAMAT GAN, Israel — EarlySense last week presented new research indicating that its EarlySense Live home-based sensor accurately detects sleep apnea and sleep disordered breathing in children, when compared to polysomnography, the testing process used in clinics to detect sleeping disorders. The contact-free system showed nearly 90% accuracy compared to the gold standard and calculated the Apnea/hypopnea index with a 0.9 correlation to sleep lab results.

  • Piedmont Pharmaceuticals brings new lice treatment to U.S. marketplace

    GREENSBORO, N.C. — Piedmont Pharmaceuticals last week announced it has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its patented, pesticide-free Resultz Lice & Egg Elimination Kit, an odorless product that kills and removes head lice in five minutes. The Resultz Kit is ready to enter the U.S. marketplace, the company reported.

  • Salvatori-Scott celebrates 30 years

    NEW ORLEANS — Salvatori-Scott last week celebrated the company's founding 30 years ago with the man who started it all, Steve Salvatori (second from the right in the picture above), during McKesson ideaShare 2017, here.
