  • New condom brand hopes to shape industry

    LOS ANGELES — A new condom brand is looking to introduce new design concepts that it hopes will reshape the industry.

    Origami condoms currently tout three patent-pending prototypes, designed for both men and women, which are undergoing clinical research. The condoms are designed to increase pleasure and to simultaneously improve safety.

  • DRSI ReStore! Energy arrives at Publix

    BOCA RATON, Fla. — Diabetica Research Solutions has expanded distribution of its DRSI ReStore! Energy product to Publix stores that operate in-store pharmacies.

    DRSI said its diabetes energy formula will be found in the diabetes care section of Publix.

    DRSI ReStore! Energy currently is available at Duane Reade, Navarro Discount Pharmacy and CVS.com.

    AUSTIN, Texas — Genesis Today on Tuesday launched its GenEssentials Greens, a concentrated vegan supplement with more than 75 plant-based ingredients.

    According to the company, one serving of GenEssentials Greens delivers the phytonutrients of up to five servings of dark leafy green vegetables and 173 other nutrients. The formula delivers more than 25 billion live probiotics per serving, which break down toxins and support a healthy digestive tract.

  • EZ Gluten gains certification from AOAC Research Institute

    GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Elisa Technologies recently announced that its EZ Gluten test kit has earned Performance-Tested Methods certification from the AOAC Research Institute, a private, not-for-profit association that helps establish testing standards.

    EZ Gluten was developed to help the food industry and consumers detect gluten in food and beverages, and delivers results in about 15 minutes. The kit is sensitive enough to detect levels of gluten as low as 10 parts per million.

  • CVS fights disease in ethnic communities

    CVS/pharmacy spent the last couple of months sponsoring nearly 300 free screening and consultation events in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia targeting African-American communities. 


    Part of the chain’s To Your Health program, the events were an extension of the A Su Salud events targeting Hispanic customers in Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Miami. To Your Health started in Atlanta on April 17, moving on to Washington, D.C., on June 12 and Philadelphia on June 19.
