The parent company of Hi-Chew, Morinaga America, is debuting a new line of candies developed on the principle of providing consumers with better-for-you sweets.
Fi-Being, which draws its name from two keywords that define its primary attributes — fiber and being — contains 11 g of dietary fiber, 4 g of sugar and 0 g of sugar alcohol, the candymaker said.

The brand’s new line, available in passion fruit and elderberry flavors, is made from natural and artificial flavors and contains no colors from synthetic sources.
“At Morinaga America, we constantly strive to provide our consumers with innovative, new products,” said president and CEO Teruhiro Kawabe (Terry). “We are excited to expand our product lineup and introduce Fi-Being to consumers. The hard candy is unique and maintains the true-to-life flavors our products are known for. We are certain that consumers will enjoy this delicious new candy experience.”

F-Being is available in a 1.76-oz. bag that retails for $3.29 at select retailers nationwide.
